Andrea Bottchen ~ Counselor
Mrs. Bottchen earned both a Bachelors and Masters of Education from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Bottchen enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters who are in middle school and high school. She likes to travel, read and when time permits, scrapbook. In addition, both the beach and the mountains are favorite places to visit. Go Dawgs!
Candi Chandler ~ Technology Vikki Drawdy ~ Instructional Coach
Mrs. Vikki Drawdy is Putnam County Primary School’s Instructional Coach. Mrs. Drawdy has her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia College and State University. She also has her Reading Endorsement. Mrs. Drawdy is beginning her 29th year as an instructor in Putnam County. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tommy, as well as her family and friends. She is the mother of two grown children, John and Melissa and the mother-in-law to Jessica and Bobby. She has 4 grandchildren: Chandler, Brianna, Jadyn, and Johnse. Her 5th grandchild is due in October! Mrs. Drawdy enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and traveling (especially to the coast)!
Towanda Finney ~ Counselor
Towanda Finney is a graduate of Georgia College and State University, Fort Valley State University, and Nova Southeastern University. She is also a veteran of the United States Navy. Spending time with her three children, mom, sister-in-law and nieces is what she does in her spare time. Ms. Finney enjoys working with children at Putnam County Primary School and she loves to shop and read. Traveling is also one of her past times.
Sarah Higgins ~ Music
Sarah Higgins first began to love music during her elementary music class. Inspired by her high school band director, Ms. Higgins went on to major in Music Education at Augusta State University where she became certified in Music Education and Early Childhood Education. She is originally from Wesel, Germany but calls Augusta, Georgia home. Ms. Higgins loves music, reading, taking walks, and spending time with her daughter Sophia and her family in Augusta.
Joanne Hester ~ ESOL
Jo is a graduate of Florida State University, with graduate work at Florida Southern and Georgia State University. She received her ESOL endorsement at North Georgia College. Jo's favorite pastime is traveling to Arizona, South Carolina, and Louisiana to visit her 3 young adult children and her 6 year old grandson and 1 year old granddaughter. Jo also enjoys running, golf, reading and watching sports. Go SEMINOLES! She says "Life is Good" living in the Lake Country.
Pam Thomas ~ Speech Language Pathologist
Pam received her B.S.Ed. in Communications, Sciences, and Disorders (University of Georgia, 1999), M.A. in Speech Pathology (University of Memphis, 2001), and Specialist in Educational Leadership (Berry College, 2007). She earned her Clinical Certificate of Competence through the ASHA and maintains certification and licenses both at the state and national level. Pam has enjoyed being a part of Putnam County Schools since 2009. During the 2010-2011 school year, Putnam County Schools presented Pam with the "Distinguished Educator of Exceptional Children Award." Additionally, Pam is a volunteer with the Girl Scout Organization, a member of the Eatonton Service League, and a member of the Eatonton Presbyterian Church. Pam and her husband, Russell, have three children.
Dawn Wicker ~ Physical Education
Mrs. Wicker is a graduate of Georgia College and State Universityu where she earned both a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Education degree in Physical Education and Health. She has an Administrative Educational Leadership Masters degree from Georgia College and State University. She enjoys reading, fitness activities, scrapbooking, running, watching Seth play football at the high school, and attending University of Georgia football games. She has been teaching 20 years.
Candace Wooten ~ Gifted
Mrs. Wooten attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Mrs. Wooten began her teaching career as a kindergarten teacher in 1995. While teaching kindergarten she continued her education by earning both a Masters of Arts Degree and an Education Specialist Degree from Piedmont College. She also became certified to teach gifted. In 2007, Mrs. Wooten joined the staff at Putnam County as a first grade teacher. Now she is the SAGE teacher for first and second grade. She also teaches math enrichment and Cranium Connections. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Paula Deen, cooking, and reading.
